Happy New Year!

I can't believe it the beginning of a new year already! I'm astonished at how fast time goes by. And to celebrate the new year, DT member Dana Tater brings us a wonderful card using out bow tie embellishment. So now I'll let her give you all the details of the card.

Hi JnW Crafts fans! Dana Tatar here today sharing a card that I created to help celebrate the New Year. I covered a piece of black cardstock with black lace and then used the Bow Tie Template with a piece of black felt to make the bow for this card. I attached the tie to pieces of white cardstock that I layered to create a pleated shirt. I used small chipboard circles that I colored with black ink for buttons. The bow tie really helps to dress up this simple card design!

I wish you all the best for the New Year! Thanks for stopping by today!

It's also with a heavy heart that I have to announce that this will be our last blog post. We will be closing our store tomorrow. I want to give one last THANK YOU to my design team. The gals have been absolutely wonderful and have provided us with beautiful work over and over again.

Peace On Earth Card

DT member Dana Tater has another amazing project lined up for us, this one a stunning dimensional Christmas card using our glass jar template. So now I'll let her give you all the details of this card in her own words.

Hi JnW Crafts fans! Dana Tatar here today sharing a card that I created with the JnW Crafts Jar Template. I had a lot of fun creating this snowy shaker card! I used the Jar Template to trace a jar shape onto a piece of patterned paper. I then cut out the jar and backed the negative image with a piece of acetate. I embossed a piece of white cardstock with a Swiss Dots embossing folder for use as the background of the shaker element. I placed adhesive foam around the edge of the jar shape, added some mica flakes and then sealed the jar by adding the piece of embossed cardstock to the back.

I finished the card by adding a snowy tree, glittery flowers and leaves and a stamped sentiment to the top of the shaker element. Thanks for stopping by today!

Peace Tile

Can you believer we're only about two and a half weeks away from the big day? Reality has finally set in for me, so now I'm trying to pick up the last few gifts and get my house ready for all my family and friends.

Part of getting the house ready is the decorations, and this 12in x 12in altered tile is the perfect addition to my decorations.

I started with painting the entire tile with a light blue and white acrylic paint.

Once the paint was dry, I rub on a design adhesive strip then layer on the silver and blue glitter.

Next, I paint a JnW Crafts cross with a silver paint pen and added a few dots of Stickles, then adhere it to the tile.

To finish up the winter scene, I add on a bit of Snow-Tex and set the tile aside to dry.

To finish the tile, I added a bit of trim and the sentiment.

Nestled amongst all of my snowmen, this tile will add to wintery feel.

Winter Wonderland Card

Welcome to JnW Crafts where I am sharing a Christmas card with lots of layers and accents. This one was started by cutting out the space using nestibilities and then embossing the whole thing for texture. The background piece of paper is Robin's Nest Vellum giving it the winter feel. Using Robin's Nest Blue Glitter Chipboard I traced from JnW Crafts stencils, hand cut out the ornaments and added Robin's Nest snowflakes. I then had fun copic colouring the cute image and adding Stickles to it. Lots of layers to add colour and depth.

Corset Photo Clip

I'm getting in the holiday mood, and what better to help with this than a fun Christmas project. For this photo clip, I used the JnW Crafts corset.

I painted the clip white, gave it a spritz of glimmer spray because everything needs a bitter of shimmer. then I just wrapped it a few times with some twine, added a couple of die-cut leaf sprigs, then added the sentiment.

The corset was painted with acrylic paint, then I added the ribbon binding, then lastly added a bit of Snowtex around the top. Super simple.

I can picture this sitting on my mantle with pictures of Christmas past. I can also see giving this away as a wonderful gift.

Christmas Tree Template and Embellishment Set

As we head into December and inch closer to Christmas Day, most of us are in overdrive right now working on all sorts of holiday projects. Our Christmas tree template and embellishment set can help with that process.

The embellishment can be decorated with your choice of patterned paper or any type of ink or paint.

The template can be used to make an unlimited number of Christmas trees for your projects. I can picture a quick candle ring made by cutting out and attaching several trees together. them simply add a flameless tealight candle in the center. Quick and easy table decoration.
