Poltergeist Art Journal Page

It's finally here! That most spooktacular of days, full of little monsters and all sorts of hauntings. So of course we have to share one last Halloween project. This is from DT member Pia Astrand.

She has created a super fun and colorful art journal page that used our poltergeist template.

And in true Pia style, she's added her own doodles with the handwriting, stitching on the ghosts, and with the chains that the ghosts are carrying.

For all those heading out trick-or-treating tonight, be careful out there. And don't eat too much candy :)

{Trick or Treat} Card

So very close to the spookiest of nights, so of course we have one last Halloween project to share. And I'll let DT member Bev code give you all the details of her amazing card.

Welcome to JnW Crafts today. Halloween card is perfect for this time of year and month.

Using this ornament template I drew my pumpkins onto black cardstock. I was looking for the chalkboard effect. Then using a Signo white gel pen you draw the faces. So easy but what a cute card.
Background is a ripped piece of paper stamped for texture and dimension. The webs with spiders are Cricut cut and glued on. Add some ink on paper to soften the colour, and last is the SRM side border stickers and the sentiment.

Boo Candle

We're just a few days away from that spookiest of nights, so what better time to show off a fun home decor item? I used the ornament template to create the jack-o-lanterns.

To start, I used the ornament template and felt to make the jack-o-lanterns. Then i used a brown marker to give them a few highlights. Lastly, I cut out some eyes from black felt and added the letter stickers.

Now on to the candle. I wrapped it with some burlap, then added a strip of tulle. Next, I added a felt owl.

Now I just layered the jack-o-lanterns on top of the candle, and voila, project complete.

How cute would this be as a part of a centerpiece on a table of sitting on top of a mantle?

Hope, Believe, Imagine Card

Welcome back! Today we have a beautiful card created by DT member Bev Code. I absolutely love how she used our corset template. So now I'll let her explain in her own words exactly how this card was made.

Today at JnW Crafts I made this cool card using the corset template to create the fun cool image by tracing it onto paper and hand cutting. I then added accents, inked the background, added some twine and sentiment journaling tags. a cute flower cluster and it's done. I added stickles to the lacy trimmed area for sparkle.

The close up shows just a bit more detail. I used a Staedtler black pen to outline and detail some sections. The flourishes are stickers to add more depth and colour.

Here is the link in store to this item... be sure to view the other amazing items while there too.

Dress Form Halloween Card

We're inching closer and closer to Halloween, so of course we have witchy card for you today. I absolutely love the colors and dress on this card. I'll let Dana give you all the details in her own words.

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a Halloween card that I created with the JnW Crafts Dress Form Template.

I cut the dress form from three pieces of patterned paper and layered them on top of each other to create a spooky dress. I added colored lace and ribbon between the layers of patterned paper for a feminine touch. I didn't want the dress to be too cute so I added a glittery spider to up the creep factor!

I finished the card with a festive flower cluster and gem stone sentiment.

Trick or Treat Card

Ready for another spook-a-licious Halloween creations? Today we have a fun card made by DT member Bev Code. And now I'll let her give you all the details in her own words.

I am honoured to be on the DT and enjoy sharing projects made using these fun templates for either tracing, or using the positive and negative of the wood templates.

This card started with background paint splatter, a Cricut cut sentiment, web borders, and a spider. I used the template to trace the bat. Then wanting it to have 3D dimension, I variegate folded it starting from the centre out the wings. Apply glue to the lower edge and apply to card. Just a touch of stickles on the bat and the card is done.Visit the store to view this and many other fabulous images in wood and acrylic. This bat template is available in the store.

Boo To You!

It's the beginning of a new month, and with Halloween just around the corner, it's the perfect time to make a spooktacular card.

I used our ornament template to make the body of the spider. I love thinking outside the box with my supplies. Just because something is labeled as one thing, it doesn't mean that I can't find plenty of other ways to use it. In fact, most of our templates have multiple ways they can be used.

And this card was super quick to make too! I just ran my cardstock through my embossing machine using a web embossing folder. Then I used a bit of black and orange ink to make the web design pop.

To make the spider, I started with four strips of wire, wrapped them together, bent the ends for feet, then painted it black.

I used my JnW Crafts ornament template and some orange felt to make the spider. Now it's just a matter of putting the spider together. Of course I added a couple of googly eyes.

To finish the card, I added some dimensional paint drops to the spider and a sentiment.
