Christmas Tree Template and Embellishment Set

As we head into December and inch closer to Christmas Day, most of us are in overdrive right now working on all sorts of holiday projects. Our Christmas tree template and embellishment set can help with that process.

The embellishment can be decorated with your choice of patterned paper or any type of ink or paint.

The template can be used to make an unlimited number of Christmas trees for your projects. I can picture a quick candle ring made by cutting out and attaching several trees together. them simply add a flameless tealight candle in the center. Quick and easy table decoration.

Fabulous Fall Wall Hanging

We have an awesome project from DT member Bev Code today. She took our Cupcake template and embellishment set and turned them into a very creative wall hanging. So now I'll let her give you all the details.

JnW Crafts project today is a fabulous fun fall accent. I used the cupcake template and converted it
to an acorn... and I used both pieces for this project.

I started by using Alcohol inks on the background base. A great mix of many colours spread over the grains of wood soaked in perfectly. On the acorn template itself I changed the colours to a collection of darker colours. To make the top of the acorn more textured, I add some gesso and added more colouring. I put black ink on outer edge of the acorn and also added some Signo white gel pen to
make some line between the 2 sections of the acorn.

The lower holes were great for the large size brads while the upper hole strung with ribbon and knots tied made the hanger for the fall accent. The back of the wood was matted with dark brown cardstock, which I then doodled the acorn shape and design using the Signo white gel pen.

Sticker accents are from Paper House Fall Collection and they trimmed the accent perfectly. They added depth and texture to the finished project.

God Jul & Ett Gott Nytt Ar (Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year)

Ready for another fun Christmas card? Well wait no longer! DT member Pia Astrand has a fun card for us today. Without further ado, I'll let Pia give you all the details of this beauty.

This is a Christmas card that is 4.5in X 9 in. I´ve used the tree and ornament template. I´ve used distress inks and matted the finished "art" with white cardstock on a craft card base.

The ornament was colored with red burgundy acrylic paint and coated with red Stickles.

The sentiment is Merry Christmas and a happy new year in Swedish.

Naughty or Nice Card

All the gals are gearing up for the big day, and DT member Dana Tatar is no exception. She has brought us a super fun and colorful card today. So I'll let her give you all the details of how she created this awesome card.

Hi! Dana Tatar here today sharing a Christmas card that I created with the JnW Crafts Dress Form Template. I had so much fun creating my Halloween Dress Form Card that I decided to make a similar version for Christmas.

I cut the dress form from four pieces of patterned paper and layered them on top of each other to create a festive dress. I added lace and ribbon between the layers of patterned paper for a feminine touch. I finished the card with a flower cluster and sentiment.

Teddy Bear Tag

We're kicking off the week with an absolutely adorable Christmas project from DT member Vicki Robertson that uses our teddy bear embellishment. And now I'll let Vicki give you all the details of her tag.

With Christmas and an imminent move just around the corner, I find myself under pressure to be ready for the holidays NOW!  My crafting supplies will be packed for transport within the next couple of weeks and I am trying my best to work ahead.

My guest spot for JnW Crafts is coming to an end also, and I wanted to use one of my favorite templates before my time is up...the teddy bear.   The teddy bear is synonymous with the holidays...soft and fuzzy wearing a stocking cap and scarf, nestled among the presents, or the topic of a Christmas storybook.  I chose to put my teddy bear on a gift tag to be used on a very special gift.

Before I made the tag, I covered the acrylic bear with PVA Glue and Flower Soft then set it aside to dry. I adhered holiday patterned paper to the tag, created some additional layers, and inked all of the edges to give the tag a vintage look.  Next, I die-cut some pine branches and hot glued them at the top of the tag along with a couple of pine cones and red ribbon.  The teddy bear, with a red bow tied around his neck, is glued on top of the tag layers along with the sentiment, "Thankful for you this holiday season!"   A little red acrylic heart embellishment is the final touch.

I am super happy with the way this tag turned out.  It has the vintage look I was going for and lots of dimension and texture.

Smile Tag

Welcome back! DT member Bev Code has an amazing fall inspired tag for us today. Brown, black, orange, gold - beautiful color combo. So now I'll her give you all the details of the tag.

I used the JnW Crafts templates to make my tag today. The larger wood template was used to trace the jar on right on the base tag. I then drew the lid marks using Staedtler black pen and then used StazOn ink to stamp on the circle accents.

The smaller glass jar template was used to trace on the Paper House Paper and hand cut out the jar on the left. The lid marks were drawn on it and the fun cute tag was cut, stamped on, doodled stitching added and tied with twine to the jar. The upper part of tag was stamped with butterfly, matted and doodle stitching to make a border accent. The Smile sentiment is stamped plus butterflies and flower and matted with scallopped edges. Add some ribbons tied through the loop and you have the cutest  tag.

Hi! Guest Designer Dana Tatar here today sharing a Thanksgiving card. I had a blast using the JnW Crafts Flower Template with scrap paper to create the feathers for this turkey.

I used several dies to create the turkey body and legs and then layered the flower petal shapes I cut from patterned paper to form the colorful plumage.

Happy Birthday Monsters

All I have to say about this card from DT member Pia Astrand is this -- a-freakin-dorable! her take on using our tooth template is super creative. I'm a huge fan of using items for things other than their original purpose, and this fits the bill perfectly. I look at it like this, the more uses I can find for a product, the more economical it is in my opinion.

Once the monsters were cut out, Pia colored them with Neocolor II crayons. All of the facial features were then hand drawn. I absolutely love the expressions on their faces.

This card would be absolutely perfect for the child (or child at heart) in your life.

Thank You Card

It's the start of a new month, and now my thoughts are moving into all those wonderful colors of fall.  So let's get going, and I'll show you how I made this card.

I started with a sheet of water color paper and several colors of liquid watercolors. I simply added and layered the colors until I was happy with the result.

Next, I used a template, Distress Paint, and Distress Stain to add another layer of color.

While the paint dried, I moved on to the embellishment. I used a JnW Crafts ticket embellishment and painted it first with acrylic paint and then with a layer of Smooch ink.

Now it's time to put it all together. I simply cut the watercolor paper, adhered it the card, added a bit of ribbon, and the ticket. Lastly, I doodled a border around the edge of the card.

A perfect fall themed card.
